Father’s Day

Father’s Day has come and gone.  As I acknowledged the day to my children, I recalled and shared with them that my father never told me he loved me, not once, never.  I told them that not hearing the words created this desire in me to get his approval, which often caused me to not feel good enough.  I told them that I wanted to make sure that I didn’t do the same thing to them.  Then, I told them I loved them, AGAIN!!!

  1. It is wonderful that you told them this! Now, can you forgive your father? And next, accept, that your real father, who really created you has always loved you? We can heal the past and the ancestry line this way…
Happy belated Father’s day to you! You are an awesome dad!!!

  2. Mark, it really hit me that your dad never told you that he loved you. I have known people whose parents did not express love to them and they became just like their parents. I am glad that you were able to tell your kids that you loved them. I have known you for so many years and you are an AWESOME person. You have an insight that many do not have. Happy Fathers Day to you.
