May I see my own limits with compassion, just as I view the limits of others. ROSHI JOAN HALIFAX
While traveling in Italy, I realize the same thoughts, fears, passions, concerns I have when I’m at home. They are with me now, I do not escape them. In the early 70’s, I was a young man working in the hospitality business in Miami, Florida. It was during that time when I learned that most people who go to escape their thoughts and fears on vacation, bring them with them. As I traverse the hills of Tuscany I hear and feel the same concerns and issues. Perhaps its because of our connected society and our connection to it, or perhaps it’s just our human nature to stay connected, I think it’s our nature.
While I am one who wishes to stay connected, I still feel the emotional pull, struggle, concerns, and fears, in addition to all that the new environment I need to navigate. It is stressful to travel. Today, I will be compassionate to my limitations and needs, and recognize others have the same. Giddy-up
”Blessings on your journey”
Dare to disconnect!!!! Give yourself a break. Heal and relax. Rejuvenate. Remember that life is a dream, a projection, a movie. The power always remains in God, it is not in politics.
Watch a different movie, just for the fun of it.. One of light, love, laughter, joy, peace, oneness, friendship, playfulness, innocence, where we all help each other and walk hand in hand. Sending you lots of love
