Awaken us!

There is a lot of dysfunction, anger, anxiety and fear flowing through the universe and the world around us. You’ll notice, I write a lot about depression, sadness and struggle, and here’s why I do this. Having been a steward to grief, and being given the privilege of guiding people down grieving paths has changed me. I have learned so much and am so grateful for having had this opportunity, and this is my way of giving back. Here is a quote by Steven Tyler that speaks to one of my life’s key beliefs, “Every life has a measure of sorrow, and sometimes this is what awakens us.”

I believe that everything that happens to us and affects our lives has purpose, and is an opportunity to grow our awareness, ie. Awaken us.! How we navigate these trying times is perhaps the most significant lesson because it is the manner in which we choose to travel that leads us down life’s paths. There will always be many different routes, detours and paths under construction, and there will always be a final destination.
