For many weeks now, I have been waking up every day with a sense of despair and fear. It feels like a deep pit in my stomach and fear, unworthiness, despair, insecurity, (insert your adjective here) lives there. There are days where I just can’t get a grip on my thinking, which is being fed by this feeling of fear. Where is this sense of fear and despair coming from, why am I waking up feeling this way, what can I do?
This past week I have decided to try and change my focus and thinking, and its starts with what I watch on TV. Wayne Dyers famous quote comes to mind “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Being an interested observer in the human condition, I have been enthralled by the human, political and emotional exchanges happening on the “opinion” run news channels. It’s quite possible this exchange of negative energy, name calling, hate, and hurt has created serious damage on my psyche, and I would dare say our (your) world. We are empathic beings, we are designed to feel, and our choices about what we engage and participate in is our only control. It makes sense if we are consuming hours of negative, hurtful human exchanges we’re going to feel it.
After over five days of choosing and limiting what I watch, I can honestly report that I am feeling much, much better.

I couldn’t agree with you more, I have become a believer in watching nature and not TV. It’s so much more peaceful and calming then watching the horrible interactions with the New channels.
